Avant Garde Design and Innovative Sound Technology

Elipson is a historic French loudspeaker manufacturer founded in 1938 by Joseph Léon. The company played an important role in the development of high-fidelity sound reproduction in France and became known for its distinctive spherical loudspeaker designs.

During the 1950s and 1960s Elipson loudspeakers were widely used by ORTF, the French national broadcasting organization, and installed in locations such as the Maison de la Radio in Paris. The spherical enclosure concept was developed to reduce diffraction and cabinet resonances, allowing for more uniform sound radiation.

Today Elipson continues to design loudspeakers that combine this historic design philosophy with modern driver technology.

Why we are enthusiastic about Elipson

Elipson loudspeakers combine French design heritage with distinctive acoustic engineering. Their iconic spherical forms and engaging presentation make them an appealing option for listeners who appreciate both musical performance and strong visual identity in their listening space.
