Founded in 1991 in Auburn, California, Pass Labs was created by amplifier designer Nelson Pass, whose work has influenced high-end audio for decades.
Rather than pursuing complexity, Pass Labs focuses on carefully executed circuits, stable operating conditions, and controlled distortion behavior. Many of the company’s amplifiers operate in high-bias Class A or heavily biased Class A/B, supported by substantial power supplies and robust output stages.
Over the years Pass Labs has earned a reputation for building amplifiers that are technically thoughtful and consistent in their design philosophy.
