Rewired For Realism

The NEO iDSD 3 is built on strengthened foundations, with circuitry reworked at the component level - new operational amplifiers for lower distortion, upgraded polymer capacitors to reduce power supply ripple, and WIMA MKS2 caps for smoother high frequencies. The result is the most accurate sounding playback experience to date, while retaining iFi's signature musicality.

Digital encoding strips away harmonic detail, leaving music devoid of life and emotion. To break this trend, we have partnered with JVCKENWOOD to enhance the NEO iDSD 3 with K2 and K2HD Technology. Natural harmonic detail is restored, and the depth, nuance and musicality of the original performance is revived.

Drawing from the multi-award-winning design of the Diablo 2's amplification stage, the NEO iDSD incorporates further refinements to deliver a peak output of ≥5,551mW – over 18 times the peak power offered by the ZEN DAC 3. No headphone will be too much for the NEO iDSD 3 to handle.

Two Paths to Perfection

The NEO iDSD 3 uses a custom DAC stage built around a Burr-Brown chipset, hand-picked for its natural musicality. This distinctive architecture handles PCM and DSD via separate pathways, preserving a bit-perfect signal throughout the conversion process. Data handling is carefully managed to ensure natural dynamics and exceptional low-level linearity.
