Cables are made by a process of laying up the individual mechanical and electrical components with the outer jacket. The forms of these components are each circular in cross section and leave small voids between the components in the finished cable.
The high peak current pulses the cable has to deliver under typical operating conditions causes the conductors to move relative to one another under magnetostriction. This small dynamic instability in conductor geometry raises the cable noise floor, modulated by the current waveform and degrades performance.
The IsoLink VECTOR undergoes a special process during manufacture to fill these small voids with an elastomer to maximise mechanical integrity and minimise this effect.
A carbon loaded polymer screen provides 100% cross sectional coverage to shield the conductions against electromagnetic interference. A flexible synthetic rubber jacket provides the final layer ensuring total mechanical stability with very low loss electrical characteristics.

Ultra Blue II looks pretty much exactly the same as the old Ultra Blue except for the “II” denoting the new generation cable. Plug in a burnt in Ultra Blue II after the old version and you will hear within seconds why we have upgraded this cable. The sound is fuller, more organic and better balanced in the whole range. The top end detail is still the same but everything else has risen to that performance level.
The old version of the Black II was a good cable and indeed won awards but by comparison the old Black sounded “clumsy” compared to this new version Black II which is far more refined, on point musically and more in keeping with our research over the last 5 years. Looking very similar externally, the difference is apparent when you plug it into your system.
The new Silver power sits above the Black power cable in performance, the Silver power cable does a great job balancing the smooth attributes of the black cable while giving more energy, detail and dynamism that is the signature of the Tellurium Q Silver family.
Add to that it’s far more flexible construction and the new Silver power cable ticks every box.
This is the first Ultra Black power cable but it just seemed less confusing for customers if it is labelled the same as the rest of the Ultra Black range. It takes the place of the Ultra Silver but with improved performance and has the Ultra Black family sonic profile – as best we can describe it.
