Aiming for a new pinnacle in reproduced music, this monaural power amplifier incorporates all of LUXMAN's accumulated expertise in electronic technology and sound-quality improvement. With an uncompromising design befitting a flagship model, it boasts overwhelming drivability and linearity, reproducing the full potential of any speaker system with freshness and expansiveness. LIFES—It breathes life into amplified music signals. Looking ahead to the company's 100th anniversary in 2025, this philosophy has been realized. As a next-generation amplification engine designed to achieve further advances, it inherits the core circuit concept of ODNF*, while everything else has been completely revamped from the ground up. The result is a simple, compact circuit configuration incorporating high-performance parts that can be supplied reliably over the long term.
By feeding back only the distortion component detected as the difference between the input and output signals by a differential amplifier used for error detection, it achieves a high-level fusion of the natural freshness of non-feedback amplification and the smooth extension and excellent static characteristics of negative-feedback amplification. Five years after its initial implementation in the M-10X in 2021, it has evolved to Ver. 1.1 through further refinement and adoption in numerous products. The input stage of the differential amplifier for error detection has been parallelized to achieve a further reduction in distortion.
The B-100 CENTENNIAL features the latest version, LIFES 1.1, comprising four 3-stage Darlington, 4-parallel push-pull output modules in a 4 × 4 output configuration—the largest-scale implementation to date. Optimal bias-current adjustment delivers overwhelming power linearity and unparalleled drivability, ranging from 25W (8Ω) and 125W (8Ω) in the Class A range to a peak output of 1,000W (1Ω), resulting in a natural, expansive, and vibrant sound.

To swiftly track constantly changing music signals and reproduce even their emotional nuances as they are, LUXMAN has arrived at its solution: a unique high-inertia power supply. By combining a large power transformer with excellent voltage stability and large-capacity block capacitors capable of supplying current instantaneously, it creates a vast, ever-filled electrical “reservoir,” enabling it to instantly supply the power required even in the face of intense musical signal amplitudes, with unwavering confidence and ample headroom.
The power supply section supporting the B-100 CENTENNIAL’s immense output, from 125W (8Ω) to a maximum instantaneous 1,000W (1Ω), features a 1,250VA EI-type super-regulation power transformer boasting high coupling and low loss thanks to its flat-square copper windings, and 16 large-capacity custom block capacitors of 10,000μF each. Newly developed in 2021 and now implemented in numerous products, these capacitors provide a staggering total capacitance of 160,000μF—a configuration that can be described as the largest and most powerful in LUXMAN’s history.
The transformer is installed in a space enclosed by a shielding bulkhead on the left side of the interior to isolate it from noise and vibration, and is mounted on vibration-damping rubber. Eight block capacitors are arranged vertically as a single unit, with the two units connected at equal intervals and closely positioned at their connection points.
Low Impedance
To achieve the overwhelming speaker drivability required of a monaural power amplifier, we have thoroughly pursued low-impedance signal transmission. The output wires from the amplifier are newly developed large-diameter types. The output coils, combined with large, low-resistance speaker relays in a 6-parallel configuration (12 contacts), are also newly developed large-capacity types. Furthermore, by directly connecting the speaker terminals with busbars, we have achieved a damping factor of over 1,000.
Peel-Coat Substrate (Round Pattern)
The B-100 CENTENNIAL employs a 100μm-thick, resist-less, gold-plated peel-coat circuit board, eliminating dielectric effects by removing the resist (protective film) and flux from the entire music-signal board. This achieves a remarkable improvement in performance, particularly in the high-frequency range. The unique round pattern traced onto the translucent, milky-white glass-epoxy circuit board further enhances sound quality by eliminating the generation of inductive components caused by right angles, resulting in smooth signal transmission.
Custom Parts
To achieve the ultimate in sound quality, the selection of parts is essential. Not only large components such as transformers and large-capacity block capacitors, but also resistors, various capacitors, and connecting wires are all original custom parts developed through repeated prototyping and listening tests in cooperation with parts manufacturers. In the B-100 CENTENNIAL, a new wire using 7N-Class DUCC* material has also been added for the input connections.
Three-Dimensional Original Design
Clad in an elegant silver-colored Blaster White finish, this imposing machine measures 440mm wide, 243mm high, and 651mm deep. It features an 18mm-thick front panel with dramatically slanted sides, a design element shared with the D-100 CENTENNIAL, and a 6mm-thick, hairline-finished top plate with aesthetically pleasing, carefully designed ventilation holes. The boldly curved casing creates a distinctive three-dimensional presence.
Needle-Type Analog Meter
The front panel, the face of the product, features a large, elegant analog meter with a needle, reminiscent of the classic B-10 model. A soft, warm-toned shower of white LEDs illuminates the dial, adding a classic touch to the modern design. The LED indicators below the meter not only show the operating status functionally but also serve as a design accent.
CENTENNIAL Nameplate
LUXMAN, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2025, has specially produced a CENTENNIAL (100th anniversary) nameplate with a glossy chrome finish, which will only be attached to products planned and manufactured to commemorate this milestone. The B-100 CENTENNIAL is a product that can be called the highlight of the 100th anniversary and a magnificent commemorative model. The CENTENNIAL nameplate, placed next to the brand logo in the upper left, is a testament to LUXMAN's 100 years of technology and pride.
High-Rigidity Chassis + Cast-Iron Legs
The chassis employs a loopless chassis structure that isolates it from increases in ground impedance caused by chassis currents and the effects of magnetic fields. The base bottom plate features a robust two-piece construction with a total thickness of 5.5 mm, formed by laminating 2.3 mm and 3.2 mm steel plates. Furthermore, it is combined with cast-iron gradient legs that block external vibrations and quickly dissipate internally generated vibrations, providing solid support for the total mass of 61.5 kg.
High-Quality Input/Output Terminals
The B-100 CENTENNIAL features original, high-rigidity RCA terminals for secure input connections, along with reliable Neutrik terminals for the XLR inputs. The outputs are equipped with large speaker terminals in a bi-wiring configuration, accommodating large-diameter speaker cables and supporting Y-lugs and banana plugs. It also features trigger input/output terminals for power synchronization between compatible devices.
Reference power cable
Based on the JPA-15000 used in high-end products, the flagship JPA-17000 power cable is included, featuring a unique non-twist structure and a 3.5mm² 2-core wire incorporating 30% of the world’s highest-grade high-purity copper, 7N-Class DUCC*, to achieve even lower impedance. The AC inlet is gold-plated and treated to be non-magnetic, while the entire terminal structure supports the power cable.
