Decades of experience in the development and production of high-quality audio products have laid the foundation for PlenQ. PlenQ is a product conceived and developed in the Netherlands. The combination of thoughtful design and the use of only the finest materials results in quality. By using exclusively custom-made, top-tier materials, PlenQ has set a new benchmark.
The shelves
PlenQ uses only 25 mm thick, solid bamboo plywood. Bamboo strips are boiled to stabilize their natural color. Under high pressure, these strips are formed into sheet material, which is then precision-cut using a CNC machine. Next, the shelf is coated with a scratch-resistant polyurethane lacquer. This lacquer makes the shelf liquid-proof, seamless, wear-resistant, and dirt-repellent. The shelves measure 600 x 400 x 25 mm.
Assembly
PlenQ uses only black anodized aluminum (6061) for all visible metal parts. Custom-made end caps, recessed into the top shelf. Custom-made 25 mm spikes that fit perfectly with the included 25 mm washers. Custom-made 25 mm locknuts that ensure stable placement. And... everything fits perfectly.
Cable management
All shelves are equipped with two unique cutouts, allowing cables to be neatly concealed. Power/current and signal cables can be separated. The cutouts are carefully designed to accommodate even the largest connectors and thick cables.
Unique combination
PlenQ is green. This means that only sustainable materials with the lowest possible CO2 footprint have been used. Even in the production of the carbon tubes, every effort has been made to minimize environmental impact. The uniqueness of PlenQ lies in the fact that, in the pursuit of creating the most environmentally friendly hi-fi furniture possible, a solution was also found for the acoustic footprint of the rack. Thanks to the carefully chosen design of the shelves and columns, a PlenQ hi-fi rack has almost no impact on the sound that flows from the speakers into the room.
PlenQ decouples
In addition to the durability of its components, the use of a sandwich construction for the shelves, which are then tensioned against each other, provides a unique feature in terms of resonance dissipation. Furthermore, the combination of bamboo, carbon with a fiberglass core, aluminum, and polyurethane lacquer forms the perfect foundation for all types of hi-fi equipment. Every component will perform optimally on a PlenQ.
The Loft is a piece of furniture dedicated to vinyl records. It can be combined with the add-on module (LOFT SIDE) to form a set of 2 or 3 modules depending on the size of your collection. Designed for audio installation, it can also be diverted to receive books, trinkets or other items as you wish.
