Bass
15-inch custom woofer designed and built by Supravox in France.
Made in France, the very light paper cone ensures very fast transients and a natural sound (particularly important for voices).
Powerful central Alnico magnet.
These characteristics allow for impressive dynamics and low distortion, even in the deep bass region.
Midrange
The horn is custom-built in Germany from a resin chosen for its low resonance (no ringing at all). It is inspired by the famous Klangfilm Eurodyn model from the 1950s, featuring the same expansion profile.
Compression driver: 2-inch throat, with a neodymium ring magnet that ensures a very high magnetic field. It features a 76.3 mm (3”) voice coil wound with edge-wound copper-clad aluminum wire on a high-temperature polymer former. The beryllium diaphragm is mounted on a heat-stabilized polymer suspension, which greatly reduces second- and third-order harmonic distortion.
Beryllium offers one of the best stiffness-to-weight ratios. The result is a subjectively very detailed and musical presentation.
Tweeter
Custom-made Alnico tweeter designed and built in Germany by Lamar Audio. It offers high efficiency, with a very dynamic and natural sound.
Crossover
A relatively simple 12 dB design for both crossover frequencies.
High-quality components include: Jantzen capacitors / Air-gap coils
An attenuation switch is available for both the midrange and tweeter drivers, with three positions: -1 dB, 0, +1 dB. The preferred position is the middle (0).
