Dynavector ASKA Phono Cartridge
The ASKA is our entry-level MC cartridge, purpose-built to make that first step into MC as inviting as possible. Carrying the same design philosophy and craftsmanship as our higher-end models, it delivers the characteristic Dynavector sound — open, natural, and remarkably low in distortion — at an accessible price point.

Carrying the same design philosophy and craftsmanship as our higher-end models, it delivers the characteristic Dynavector sound — open, natural, and remarkably low in distortion — at an accessible price point.
Built to Dynavector's High-End Standards
A record's grooves carry extraordinarily fine information, captured as microscopic vibrations. To faithfully convert them into electrical signals, precise engineering and careful fine-tuning are essential to unlock what MC cartridges are truly known for: the lifelike presence and realism of analogue playback, a spacious and three-dimensional soundstage, and a natural tonal balance from top to bottom.
In analogue playback even the most minute deviation is enough to affect the sound. That is why every stage of ASKA's production, from moulding, cutting and heat treatment through to plating, assembly and final adjustment is carried out entirely in Japan in collaboration with highly skilled partners. Each cartridge is hand-assembled and individually inspected, ensuring that every ASKA is built and adjusted to the same uncompromising standard as the rest of the Dynavector lineup.
Special Annealing Magnetic Circuit
At the heart of every MC cartridge lies its magnetic circuit. The quality of that circuit has a direct impact on the sound. Dynavector uses pure iron for its stable and low-distortion magnetic properties, and takes this a step further with a carefully controlled annealing process. By precisely managing factors such as temperature, environment, and heating / cooling rates, this process refines the magnetic properties of the circuit to deliver expansive resonant sound without distortion and exceptional resolution.
Neodymium Magnet and Softened Magnetic Field
This series employs a patented "Softened Magnet" technology developed to reduce distortion and harsh irritating edgy sounds caused by rare earth magnets, while still achieving high output from powerful neodymium magnets. By taking advantage of the powerful magnetic force of neodymium magnets, the phono cartridge produces a clean, well separated sound.
ASKA-H: A High Output Model for Ease of Use
Dynavector's unique coil winding technology makes high output MC cartridges possible. By winding an ultra-fine wire many times around the coil bobbin, the phono cartridge can retain a healthy 2.8mV output, eliminating the need for a head amplifier or a step-up transformer. It retains the sonic advantages of an MC cartridge while offering the ease of use of an MM cartridge.
Recommended load impedance is 1,000Ω or higher.
Connection to a PHONO input in MM position (47KΩ load) is also possible.
ASKA-L: A Low Output Model Capturing the True Characteristics of an MC
The low-output ASKA-L model offers an output voltage of 0.3mV, allowing excellent compatibility with a wide range of step-up transformers and head amplifiers. This model lets you fully experience the distinct qualities of MC playback. Recommended load impedance is 100Ω or higher.
Elliptical Stylus : Precise Tracking for Every Setup
The elliptical stylus is a well-balanced choice for modern analogue playback. Its elongated contact surface accurately tracks fine high-frequency groove modulations, reproducing detail that a spherical stylus can often miss. Unlike more demanding line contact stylus profiles, it delivers stable and consistent performance across a wide range of cartridge alignments, making it a practical and capable choice for those new to MC cartridges.
Easy Installation Design
Cartridge Installation can be a delicate task, even for experienced users. ASKA features threaded M2.5 screw holes built directly into the body, eliminating the need to hold a screw and nut simultaneously. Simply tighten the screws through your headshell or tonearm for a clean and straightforward installation.

The archon© time-aligned moving coil phono cartridge is a new design.
Featuring an unique designed uni-body made from a solid block of Timet 1100 - an ultra-strength Titan-alloy. Internal liquid dampening at certain areas provides an unique energy transfer ability to conserve and bring to your ears even the finest and smallest details in sound. Thus enriching the sonic picture with rarely heard inner harmonics and ambiance nuances.
The Palladian features a hand hammered Timet 1100 Titanium body of unequalled strength and with an unparalleled ability to transfer energy.
In the Palladian we find a strong heart with more energy (coil windings), a body more agile with less inertia (reduced moving mass), featuring further a very special, subtle mix of small measures taken to fine tune each and every parameter of performance allowing for a sonic explosion beyond our expectations and hopes.

The IQ I features a rigid yet lightweight body made from Pocon, which is equipped with integral threaded inserts for easy installation in the tonearm head-shell. This mounting system greatly improves mechanical coupling between the cartridge body and head-shell in comparison to the traditional nut & bolt fixing.
The internal coils are made from extremely fine copper wire, and the cantilever is formed from a specific grade of aluminium tube. You may also notice that the suspension is more stiff than usually seen in Moving Magnet cartridges of this type.

The internal coils are made from extremely fine copper wire, and the IQ III uses the same cantilever material and diamond found in the legendary Audio Note IO I moving coil cartridge. Made from titanium tube rather than aluminium, the cantilever is unique, and in combination with the Audio Note Type 1 stylus, offers a level of performance that was often though impossible to achieve with a Moving Magnet design.

Generator Principle
The moving coil principle was chosen as the basis for the design of the IO range of cartridges, as it offers greater linearity in terms of electrical output from the mechanical movements of the stylus than any other system. We investigated moving iron, moving magnet, strain gauge, electret and electrostatic generators, and even took the unusual step of acquiring a Toshiba cartridge that employed light emitting diodes to generate the signal from the groove, but in the end it was felt that the quality of the moving coil system as described by P. G. A. H. Voigt would yield the best overall results.

VM95 series 78rpm SP cartridge. Also available pre-mounted on AT-HS6 Headshell.
Since SP records have monaural modulation, when combining an SP stylus with a stereo body, such as the AT-VM95SP, it is recommended to use the “MONO ON” function “ of your standard Stereo Phono Preamplifier to minimize record surface noise.
AT-VM95SP, as stereo cartridge for SP mono records, when used with a dedicated archiving phono preamplifier equalizer incorporating various functions to generate a mono signal from Stereo inputs (Mono L+R, Mono L, Mono R, LR Variable Mix) allows professional archivers to minimize noise and distortion by sampling the least damage side of the grooves from an old record.

VM95 series Elliptical Nude stereo cartridge. Also available pre-mounted on AT-HS6 Headshell.
The AT-VM95EN, features a Nude Elliptical Diamond. The construction of the stylus being a one piece diamond with a round shank inserted in the cantilever creates a lighter and more rigid transmission system than a diamond tip bonded on a round titanium shank such as in the AT-VM95E. Also the use of nude diamond implies a substantial difference in pricing, yet the quality of the reproduction will be immediately noticed, specifically in the fidelity of high frequencies and in the quality of the transient responses.

It features a 0.3 x 0.7 mil elliptical nude stylus attached to a hard duralumin tapered pipe cantilever to provide excellent tracking of the record groove with enhanced high-frequency control. Our newly developed suspension mechanism uses piano wire for even better tracking accuracy, lowering the dynamic compliance slightly for more substantial audio, particularly in the mid-low range.

Unusual in this price class, the Fideles features a solid advanced Titanium Timet 1100 body of unparalleled energy transfer ability and unique combination of strength and light weight.
The generator system is a double-magnet - focused field - moving ferrum pipe - principle which gives a healthy high output of 5.5 mV. Very easy handle for any phono stage and no need for a high-gain / moving coil phono input.
