The Takumi range of moving-coil cartridges is designed and hand-assembled with one clear purpose: to extract music from the groove with precision, stability, and natural tonality.
Each model follows the same core architecture — a rigid generator with square OCC coil formers, finely polished diamond stylus, and mechanically stable cantilever — yet each expresses a distinct character through its materials and geometry.
From the musical ease of the Aka to the refined clarity of the Myo, every cartridge maintains the same philosophy: quiet tracking, linear phase behaviour, and a direct, uncoloured connection to the recorded performance.
Behaviour & character
The Aka offers a classic, musical presentation. Its conical stylus sits deep and securely in the groove, maintaining excellent contact even on less-than-perfect pressings.
Bass is firm and uncoloured, midrange tones are smooth and natural, and treble retains a gentle warmth. Tracking is stable and forgiving, making the Aka ideal for extended listening and broad system compatibility.
