The HSD SC6 was developed specifically to be combined with sub-chassis turntables. A lightweight housing and increased needle compliance ensure that the resonance frequencies of the two vibration systems involved are further apart and therefore have less influence on each other.

This mounting system greatly improves mechanical coupling between the cartridge body and head-shell in comparison to the traditional nut & bolt fixing.
The internal coils are made from extremely fine copper wire, and the cantilever is formed from a specific grade of aluminium tube. You may also notice that the suspension is more stiff than usually seen in Moving Magnet cartridges of this type.

The AT33xEN is an excellent all-around cartridge choice, delivering warm, full-bodied audio reproduction. It features a 0.3 x 0.7 mil elliptical nude stylus attached to a hard duralumin tapered pipe cantilever to provide excellent tracking of the record groove with enhanced high-frequency control. Our newly developed suspension mechanism uses piano wire for even better tracking accuracy, lowering the dynamic compliance slightly for more substantial audio, particularly in the mid-low range.
