The 4Point 14-inch tonearm can be mounted on the Stabi M turntable using the 12-inch cutout, but some parts of the tonearm come very close to the edge of the lid. Please follow these instructions carefully when installing the 4Point 14-inch tonearm and cartridge.

To fit the tonearm on a Stabi M, the distance from the spindle to the horizontal bearing must be adjusted. The standard distance is 340 mm, but this must be reduced to 338 mm to ensure the lid can close without touching the tonearm. When the cartridge geometry is set correctly, alignment protractors will automatically compensate for this change. The reduction in effective length is minor—just over 1%—and not significant in practice.

As the headshell with cartridge comes very close to the front edge of the lid—especially when the lid is partially closed—slowly close the lid the first time and check whether the edge clears the cartridge. Simultaneously, verify that the counterweight shaft at the rear of the tonearm is not touching the back or right side of the lid.
